The performance narrates the dream of a woman trapped in her thoughts, which are coming alive leading her to an imaginary world. Where reality meets the imaginary, she faces the inevitability of coming to terms with the fear of loneliness reaching eventually mental freedom.

Year 1989, the fall of Communism in Romania. Everything started in Timisoara. 27 years later, the Coalition for Family gathers 3 million signatures, voices from a now free country, which choose for the Constitution to change and enclose the human rights: marriage can only happen between two persons of opposite sex. Where is the Freedom? Why do we imprison the love? The performance shows and highlights contradictory points of view.

LAST
...is the ultimate work from Frantics Dance CO. In this piece, we examine the contradictory phenomena of time. We play with blurry pictures of the past or the future, trying to get a closer approach of how memory in humans behave when they remember, recreate or imagine situations.
It seems that we are watching our lives going back and forth, and in various game arrangements we let this pictures repeat, collapse and freeze, stretch and accelerate, crash and rebuild, always jumping back and forth in times as if we were prison of the time.
“Last” is like a blurred film, like memories in an amnesic person, when reality and dreams start being twisted and mixed.
Choreography: Frantics Dance Company Performance: Carlos Aller, Diego De La Rosa, Marco Di Nardo, Juan Tirado, Young-Won Song With friendly support from Theater Strahl Berlin.

LUMEN
...is the silent, black and white tale about people who are happy but don't know they are. "Lumen" talks about a humanity imprisoned in itself: trapped behind the masks that they choose to wear as a protection from warmth, colours and their deepest dreams of freedom.
"Masks have always been mysterious and fascinating objects: originating from ancient traditions, they bring us, still today, closer to the most unexpressed (imprisoned!) part of our being... awakening our brightest and darkest dreams and making us laugh and cry."
Anna Penati and Marco Zavarise are actors, performers and teachers. They graduated from Civica Accademia di Arte Drammatica "Nico Pepe" in Italy. Since then they have been pursuing their personal research on the use of expressive masks: both classical, such as Commedia dell'Arte, and unconventional ones. They teach drama, mask technique and they bring their own shows in several festivals all around the world (UK, France, Russia, USA, Italy).

FUTURE WITCHCRAFT
The foundation consists of what knowledge we have condensed throughout our research about the european witchhunts in the ending of medieval-era and the times of early capitalism. What we think are the crucial issues to focus on when we speak about „future witchcraft“ is the matter of how to translate „original ritual“ of the hunted and killed witches to our times or to a future perspective of the cause.
The „witch“ exists because she was the hunted character of striving patriarchy. She never called herself that way. But throughout her actions she became an enemy of the state. Forms of action are vital to any human existence. But especially actions of these condemned women were one of the reasons their existences were abruptly terminated. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of women only in the area of todays germany and denmark.
Their signature actions were those three: Birthcontrol-displanting hedges-and flying.
We are in the process of evolving a modern/futuristic translation of their signature actions into the aesthetic form of the „staged ritual“.
THE CLOWN COMPANY
The Lady in White
4 clowns are on a camping trip and tell each other scary stories at night. They each try their best to tell the scariest story but one by one they fail to scare their fellow clowns and the audience. Then one of the clowns remembers the scariest story ever told. The story of "The Lady in White".
Soon the clowns find themselves entangled in this very story and experience first hand how the lady falls in love, bears her lover’s child, and pays dearly for her father’s greed.
The Clown Company’s performances are nonverbal, physical clown theater for adults. The clowns’ childlike curiosity, imagination and overall behaviour make for a different kind of storytelling.

Group Schüü
Saoires
Group Schüü has created a site-specific performance "Saoires" during a one-week residency they spent at Faengslet in November 2016. The starting point of the idea was in researching freeing and imprisoning moments we experience in our everyday lives. As circus artists, our own disciplines (may it be juggling, aerial acrobatics or something else) imprison us as demanding a lot of time and energy. On the other hand, circus gives us the possibility to experience freedom, in the movement, in the air and in the matters of expressing ourselves.
The performers researches six different emotions occurring in imprisoning moments - anger, indifference, hope, craziness, hopelessness and fight. We see, how do the group members affect each other, how does the leading role change, when do we surrender and how do we resist.

TEATTERI METAMORFOOSI
Hels Fangels
No one is safe from the piercing gaze of “Hels Fangels”. This duo combines strong physical play of the bouffoons and burning societal questions. Bouffoons are the successors of the medieval jesters, who can expose and open our eyes for injustice and public malpractice through mockery and laughter.

Polyopia
Polyopia explores how physical states and visuals can illustrate the inter-relation between inner and outer worlds. Oliver Sacks book 'Hallucinations' has been an inspiration for the piece. Two individuals in a state of imprisonment experience variations of limited freedom both consciously and unconsciously. Moments are alternating between solitary presence and physical contact, whilst the two are echoing and influencing each other.

TMYT
Teatru Manoel Youth Theatre
Our performance will use a mix of Physical Theatre, Soundscaping, and Text to tackle the theme of Freedom Prision.
The performance is highly influenced by the work of Brecht, Boal, and Grotowski (poor theatre). Through our work we strive to provoke some form of rational self-reflection and a critical view of the action on the stage. We want to educate, make people think, reflect, and aspire to make positive changes in their lives and the lives around them.

MOVEO DANCE COMPANY
Ara Gejja
Ara Gejja is a choreography that juxtaposes the traditional versus the modern by drawing inspiration from games. The choreographer Patsy Chetcuti, together with the dancers, attempts to build a production centred on traditional Maltese games, such as passju, ara gejja il mewt ghalik, bum bum il bieb –games that inspired freedom of play, team work and socialisation and joie de vivre. This is contrasted with modern games which alienated people in an imprisonment to technology that constricted game play to sedentary and solitary.
